Attendees in 2008, staff in 2009 to the present. Joel and I literally got our start in underwater imaging at The Digital Shootout! It’s a week-long (or two weeks if you can bear to be in paradise for that long) workshop for underwater photographers wanting to improve their imaging skills. It just so happens that the event is held at a tropical dive resort… this year’s host was CoCo View Resort on Roatan, Honduras. Diving in the morning, classes in the afternoon and image critique in the evening is the schedule for the week. By the end of the event, each shooter will have improved his/her skills dramatically.
The Digital Shootout really is the world’s BEST underwater imaging workshop because of the staff of professionals it amasses each year. Pro photographers, certified teaching pro in Photoshop and Lightroom, Erin Quigley, and manufacturer’s reps from top names like Canon, Aquatica, Nauticam, Olympus, Sea&Sea, Subal and more. With 20 staff members and 60 guests, the staff to guest ratio ensures personal attention for all guests to improve their imaging and have a memorable experience.
